Editorial Process
Brutalist Transparency. Engineering Honesty.
At Lazy Tech Talk, we build and test technology for developers, engineers, and power users. We believe that modern tech journalism must move away from marketing hype and PR spin. Every article, guide, and review published on this site undergoes a strict quality gate.
1. Hands-On Verification
We do not write about software we have not installed, or hardware we have not personally used. For technical guides, our writers execute every command, script, and configuration block on physical testbeds (or local environments like Docker and Ollama) to confirm they work exactly as described.
2. Human-in-the-Loop & AI Policy
We use generative AI engines as powerful research assistants and drafting tools. However, raw AI output is never published. Every single article undergoes substantial editing, rewriting, and validation by our Editor-in-Chief (a senior software QA engineer). Our workflow guarantees that all opinions, analysis, and final verdicts are entirely human.
3. E-E-A-T Quality Gate
We enforce Google's E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) standards:
- Experience: We only recommend tools and systems we have integrated into real developer workflows.
- Expertise: Our primary author has 10+ years of professional experience in software testing and automation.
- Authoritativeness: We back our claims with primary source documentation, official specifications, and raw benchmark data.
- Trustworthiness: We disclose all affiliate and advertising relationships transparently.
4. Editorial Independence
Lazy Tech Talk does not accept paid placements, sponsored reviews, or pre-written corporate PR submissions. We purchase products for evaluation ourselves or state clearly if a vendor provided a review unit (which never alters our score or critical perspective).
5. Corrections & Freshness
Technology moves fast, and documentation changes. We actively monitor our published guides. If you notice a typo, an outdated command, or a factual error, please let us know. We review and correct errors within 24 hours and append a clear change note indicating the update date and nature of the fix.
